The latest trailer for Pokémon Platinum shows the series' trademark creatures playing around in their natural habitat: a promotional trailer for a new video game. Also the woods and a field or whatever. It's a lot more pleasing to look at than the last trailer, though the excellent production values on display have less to do with that than the method of capture.
Also featured is an absolutely crazy-looking area in which your orientation constantly changes as you walk on surfaces perpendicular to each other, and what appears to be a multiplayer, Pokémon-themed version of Mr. Bucket. Without the mouth. Okay, so it's not like Mr. Bucket at all.

There so many questions like wouldn't a fire monkey start a fire? Why is there a monkey in the forest? Or why is there Penguin in the plains?
Then you remember this is Pokémon and things can be as incoherent as a Giant Hippopotamus attacking Japan in Christmas.
I haven’t played a Pokemon game since Gold/ Silver, then I bought Diamond for the mere nostalgia and wow things haven’t change much, then again man things haven’t change much. Seriously why Fire pokemon are so useless?
I never played after I got with the Elite Four. I got there with level 50 pokeymen and leveling up without a gameshark is a b*tch. Pure effing grinding, I just hate the leveling up System.
Maybe I'll trade Diamond for Platinum and start again with a Water or Grass Pokemon.

....or you could just start again on the old game. you know you can delete save files right? and that the starter water and grass types aren't the only water and grass types in the game right? there are over 400 pokemon for crying out loud, just catch some more.

and your title confused me lol. i thought you meant that you could actually see the Pokemon in the fields as you encountered them finally. i still think they absolutely need to do Pokemon Wii MMO. i mean everything is in place! just make it already!

Wow.
That new gravity changing dungeon looks pretty awesome. Not a bad trailer overall. I liked it!
As for Mr.ESC, I love fire pokemon. They are some of the best special sweepers in the game, and they are the bane of steel Pokemon, especially against Forretress and Scizor who are bug/steel types.

It makes you wonder why they didn't put this in Diamond and Pearl. But it really makes a much better case for purchase than "Now with WiFi Underground!"
I don't know. Maybe i'm a bit mad that i could've been doing that in the game i already bought, but a chance to do it all again might be worth it this time

*sigh* I hate this game so much, lol. Don't get me wrong, I love the Pokemon games (my copy of Pearl has almost 300 hours on it), but damnit, I'm going to have to buy this one because so much of it just looks pure awesome.
The underground using WiFi alone is almost worth it. ARRGH! DAMN YOU POKEMON!

Seems like more of the same with few gimmicks added. Don't get me wrong, I'll be getting it as soon as the international version is released, but I just wish they'd put more effort into it. Maybe prettier sprites during combat or updated sound (as nostalgic as it feels hearing same GBA sounds, the DS could do a lot better).
But oh well, gotta leave something for the next generation, right?

I have 383 seen 352 caught. And have currently put in 269 hours. It'll just be a question of when I'll get Platinum. This darn sapphire cartridge I bought is filled with hacked pokemon. Uggh.

Wow, that crazy gravity level alone looks worth it. Sweeeeet :)
Of course, I've yet to actually get around to trying any of the Pokemon RPGs. But if the Pokemon rougelikes (ie, Mystery Dungeon), Snap, and Genki Dama are any indication (ie, very easy, but also very charming and fun), I really should give it a try.
