After impressing us with the first ever video of Bob's Game, Robert Pelloni is back with a second piece of footage for his homebrew title. This time it looks and sounds more like a game, in that it shows gameplay. The mission in the video above forms part of the title's tutorial, and sees protagonist Yuu hunting around for batteries for his mother. We're yet to figure out how to complete this quest, but then again we're a bit thick at this kind of thing.
In other news, Robert reveals on his blog that "several publishers have expressed interest" in Bob's Game, including a "large, well-known" company. After half a decade of development, a publishing deal is probably the least Pelloni deserves.

Bob has been posting about his game over at the SomethingAwful.com forums. I'm sorry to say, but he comes across there as incredibly arrogant about his talents, refusing to listen to people who give constructive criticism etc. I don't think he deserves anything, let alone a publishing contract.
It's also entirely possible, nay likely, that he is just being fooled by people who are pretending they represent publishers.

He doesn't really seem arrogant from the posts I've just read. He's just really worried that someone will steal his work. He could just file for a patent on it though, couldn't he. :P

It sounds like exactly the game I've wanted for years. Problem is, nice as the guy sounds, I don't know if he's making it how I'd want it. A game set in a huge world with evolving characters needs someone who can write that kind of world and create interesting characters.
I'm praying it will be good and not some kind of pretentious cop out.

Seeing as it says look closely when in the basement i'm guessing you pull the fuse out and kill his game.
He is on the LAST level though, how mean.
That said siblings generally deserve it for some reason or another..

Looking at both videos, this game has a lot of potential. I like how the beginning is a tutorial and confined to a small area.
I do agree with James, the writing has to be good for an adventure game (it's the game's soul after all), but I'm still very much interested.

Seemed like the folks at Somethingawful were the ones being arrogant. He is a bit over paranoid, but they still trolled him pretty unnecessarily.
Anyhow, as for the game, it definitely looks cool. It's on the radar for me. Hopefully he gets a publisher and some more exposure. Even if it doesn't end up great, I'd hate it for him to have ended up wasting five years for nothing.

The game does look great. Also, I'd get the game even just out of the fact that he put so much effort into it. Sometimes I feel like a lot of the games put out by these big namers are more of a regurgitation than anything else. Or the same old story with a bunch of mini games tacked on. It's nice to see something fresh.
