... probably because it's a video of the beginning of Sonic Chronicles! This video is, however, in French, and most of you are probably not playing in French. Luckily, the videographer skips through options and dialogue so quickly that you barely have a moment to make out the bonne idées.

BioWare's take on the long-running franchise is due out next week in North America.

I'm not a huge fan of Sonic other than the first few games for the Genesis, but this looks interesting enough.

The graphics are really nice, especially the watercolored backgrounds. It has a real polished look, much like PH.

It looks nice and all, but does anyone know if you can turn off the touchscreen and use regular buttons as an aoption?

Unlike some (maybe even most), I think the touchscreen is one gimmick on any game I can do without.

Have you ever played "Magical Starsign"? It's kind of obnoxious in that you can't use the buttons at all, but it is a JRPG controlled completely via the stylus, and after a while it's actually a really nice way to play an RPG.

Though I do hope you can use the buttons. Please oh please let there be buttons to press.

I haven't played a Sonic game in more than a decade, but I am excited for this. Unlike Mass Effect, which I think was lacking the usual Bioware polish, this game looks awesome.
