Nintendo announced and showed off a lot more than just the DSi, though understandably, it's taking most of the spotlight. This is a new handheld, people: it's big stuff.But we've talked about it, and we'll keep talking about it. Right now, we want to talk about something else. There's been a boatload of news in general the last couple of days. What else did you see that got your blood pumping? Release date for Rhythm Heaven? Mario & Luigi 3? New glimpses of Kingdom Hearts? New Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles?

As completely new to the DS Lite, new hardware doesn't really rev my engine, having just dropped cash last week on my first DS. I AM pumped about the screens for 7th Dragon, Valkyrie Profile, and Final Fantasy. The reason I bought a DS in the first place was because of the incredible RPG titles on it, but I'm pleasantly surprised to be falling in love with the New Super Mario Bros and Professor Layton as well.

Just go to Wikipedia; it has pretty much all the info released on the game so far, including the tentative release date, which, by the way, is Winter 2008. :)

Don't forget the new Age of Empires: Mythologies just announced! That is big also: Age of Kings was one of the best turn-based strategy games on the DS so far.

Fire Emblem. Just having my fears assuaged that the Nintendo demographic shift would leave FE in Japan is enough. Now, however long localization takes, I'm happy. (And nobody can really blame me for worrying; just look at today's Wii news--Nintendo refuses to publish Fatal Frame IV in NA. Raaaaage.)
