Do you enjoy lolcats? No? Well, are you really good at making mockingly ironic images to show how stupid they are? Well, there you go. In any case, you might enjoy Capcom's Ace Attorney image contest, in which you're asked to create a lolcat-style image using any Ace Attorney art (we'd avoid hentai, both in this contest and in life), and send it along to Capcom.
For your efforts, you'll be eligible for a copy of Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations, a Phoenix Wright plush toy, and a poster with an autograph and special note from producer Minae Matsukawa. Even if you FAIL don't win, you'll get 10% off the game. Get started displaying evidence of your talent!
Since we've never been given the opportunity to playMother 3, we aren't really able to gauge the thematic radness of Edit Mode's new Mother 3 "Emergency" shirt. Still, just as we know that all shirts sold on The King of Games are awesome, we have an inherent knowledge that everything about this shirt is wonderful, except the $50 price tag. We know that the design is pretty nice, and that the warning text on the back is adorable.
The other new Mother shirt, featuring a logo for "The Sharks," comes from Mother 2 a.k.a. Earthbound, and is therefore easily verifiable as being great. You can totally pretend you're in an arcade-occupying, hula-hoop wielding gang led by a smilin', knifin' Frank Fly.
Nobody stepped up when we exhorted you to buy us a huge Mario statue. We sit here, lonely, in our sparse, desolate office, yearning for an inanimate mascot character to talk to. But we're all lucky that you didn't go to such an expense for us, because we like this Fire Mario one better.
The red-and-white Fire Mario statue comes in at the same 50 cm height as (the smaller iteration of) its predecessor, but in a more powerful outfit. Unlike the ridiculously huge 150 cm statue, this more modest giant Mario statue comes in at a reasonable $215. So, anyone in the market for a, uh, big cartoon person?
Remember when Nintendo sent out 1,000 mannequin hands and held a contest to see who could pose theirs in the most creative way? This was back in the dark ages of 2005, when Nintendo actually had to promote the DS. It was a very different time.
Well, as can be expected, at least one of those hands has settled in the natural resting place of all forgotten game curios, knickknacks and simulacra of severed limbs: eBay. With the high bid at only $5 right now, it's a very cheap way to relive the days when Nintendo was so insanely desperate to get DS systems into your hands that they'd send you some hands.

It's easy to tell the work of an amateur photographer from a practiced shutterbug's -- shots are over- or underexposed, still objects appear blurred, and their subjects' eyes have been flashed a demonic red. Sometimes, you'll even spot a murky finger peeking into a corner, confused and out of focus.
Strobist helps you avoid those clumsy mistakes and get professional results with your camera. We're sure that if you follow some of Strobist's tips, the next photos you submit to The DS Life will be picture perfect! Jump past the break and see how Strobist can help you!
Sometimes, eBay makes a compelling argument against buying food. This Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow pre-release cartridge is a perfect example. Mere sandwiches cannot compare to the treasure depicted here.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is one of our favorite Castlevania games, and one we're happy to have found at all. Our retail copy was difficult enough to track down, but this "debug sample" is really rare. And you get more for your buck than just a messed-up version of the game on a big cartridge: it's got a debug menu that lets you skip to all of the cutscenes, and probably any other portion of the game.
Prototype collecting has tempted us for years; even when we had the money to bid on a rare item like this, we've held off out of fear that it would encourage more eBaying. We're not sure we can resist this, however.
The age of remakes is upon us. If you're a DS owner, you can hardly escape it ... if you even want to! After all, Square Enix is certainly supplying us with plenty of remakes that promise heretofore unknown levels of awesome, but they're not the only ones crafting games both new and old for the world's best-selling system.
Everyone wants a piece of the DS pie, but the question is, which pies are we interested in? There are a lot of games out there, after all, and while we love the Wii's Virtual Console for bringing that (mostly, usually) authentic retro experience, the list of games that could benefit from an update or touchscreen functionality is extensive.
We would like to look more closely at what our readers would like to see redone, and why. List your choices. Put on your debating hat and get ready to defend your favorites. From the list you provide, we will select a final list that we'll post as a poll in the coming days, in order to find out which remake possibilities can beat out the rest in a fanboy fight of epic proportions.
While we would've liked some better snapshots of the limited edition DS Lite, we're still drooling at this simple, yet sleek handheld. What makes things even worse is that we weren't even able to bid on the item, as its time on the auction block has come and gone.
Made for the Australian market, according to the seller only 40 of them are even in existence in the country.

One summer night about nine years ago, I decided to try to play some Tetris DX to help me get to sleep; it was late and I had to go to work early. So I propped a pillow against the wall, sat up, and turned on my Game Boy Color expecting to relax with some falling blocks.
The game that followed was the longest Tetris game I ever played; I couldn't begin to estimate the time it lasted, but by the time it was over, I had amassed over 1,000 lines. I could have paused the game and turned the system off, but I didn't want to risk failure when I came back to zippy level-30 gameplay. At the same time, I was tired.
This shirt from Huzzah Goods reminded me of that night. Even if you haven't spent hours and hours battling Tetris for sleep time, Tetris dreams are probably a fairly common experience. It's a really cute shirt too.
Banpresto and pretty much every other Japanese toy company knows the importance of releasing a steadystreamofPokéstuff lest any of us fall out of the series' thrall and stop buying for a while. To keep us thinking about Pokémon all day, they've made a duo of new items designed to keep Pokémon mastery on your mind all day.
First is a cute picnic set made up of two square containers, with a stylized Pokémon graphic on the lid. Hey, if every plant and animal in the Pokémon universe is a Pokémon, does that mean that, when Ash and company eat lunch ...
Uh, on to the next item! It's totally cute and leads to no horrific revelations! The Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Super DX Onemuri Makura is just a cute pillow in the shape of either a sleepy Piplup or a sleepy Pikachu, wrapped up in a blanket thing.
With the launch of Phantom Hourglass so close we can taste it, Nintendo saw fit to release a rather nifty e-card upon the intertron-patrolling public. The e-card comes complete with a video of the game in action, which caused us to salivate like rabid dogs. Seriously, is there any other DS game this year that is even worth comparing to this title?

You didn't think we'd forget about "International Talk Like A Pirate Day," did you? We're abandoning our usual sentimental format this week t'celebrate DS piracy and the corsair's way of life. Find yourself a tall ship and a star to steer her by, and meet us past the post break!
We know that when most people think about Final Fantasy IV, they think about great music and an engaging, mature storyline and Active Time Battles and blah blah blah. The character designs, especially those in the new DS remake, completely short-circuit the storytelling with OMG CUTEness. Seriously, these lil' guys are just precious. Look at the adorable little paladin! How huggable.
NCSX is taking preorders for these Trading Arts figurines for $39. They come semi-randomly packed in boxes of nine, but each box should contain one complete set of six, along with three duplicates that can be sent to your pals at DS Fanboy.
Do you like this cell phone holder with an embroidered Link on it? Would you be willing to pay $14 for it? Well, you can't. Providing further proof that we're bad people, we can only tease you with this wonderful handmade phone case, and link to an Etsy store from which you can't buy it.
Well, maybe you can: the seller takes commissions, so you may be able to convince her to make you one like this. Or maybe even a bigger case, for some kind of handheld video game system? By the way, the other cases for sale, while not game-themed, are also adorable.
Fans of Firefly and Serenity (which, is all of you ... or else), we've got a nice little video for you. If you've picked up Ubisoft's Jam Sessions, then you too can play the theme song to Firely. It's actually quite simple.
And, you don't even need to have a ridiculous haircut, either!
