The great redesign (4 of 26)
The great redesign
Nintendo has been busily denying rumors of a DS redesign, but their statements are eerily reminiscent of the denials that continued right up until the debut of the DS Lite. On top of that, we've got analysts insisting that demand for the ds has peaked. Sounds like time for a new model!
Why it's likely: Not only will many people rush to buy a new DS, but some slight changes could open up new opportunities for the handheld, and all without costing Nintendo an entire new hardware concept.
Why we might not see it: DS sales are still strong... and there are other things they might just present this year instead. Keep reading!
Prediction: Even odds. If we see a redesign, it will be a big deal at the keynote.

I don't see why we need another DS? I mean look at the GBA, there was the GBA, then the SP, and the pointless micro. The first DS was like the first GBA being big and clunky and the DS Lite was the SP, an improvement over the original. But what happened to the micro? If this continues the next DS will be the pointless micro.
