Getting the Ball rolling

This is where it all began: with the Game Boy nothing but a distant twinkle in Yokoi-san's eye, Ball was the very first Game & Watch handheld. It featured some of the most rudimentary gameplay mechanics of any Game & Watch, with players having to control the hands of a juggler and prevent balls from dropping. When released in April 1980, this model retailed in Japan for ¥5,800 ($53 at today's rates).
