With the games magazine market in 1980 still in its infancy (in Japan, Famitsu was six years away, while Electronic Games, the first games magazine published in the United States, appeared in 1981), the majority of early Game & Watch advertising took two forms: fantastically cheesy TV commercials, or these flyers, which were distributed in stores that sold the handhelds. Nowadays, these can attract decent prices from collectors.
