Hi Res
Ikaruga

Ikaruga

Ikaruga
Arcade, Dreamcast (Japan), Gamecube (worldwide)
released 12/20/2001 (Arcade)
Playable on Wii via GameCube compatibility, available on Xbox Live Arcade

The followup (not sequel) to Radiant Silvergun was a late Dreamcast release in Japan, and didn't appear outside Japan until the GameCube release (to IGN's apparent "frothing demand") in 2003. Ikaruga features a unique color-swapping system in which every bullet fired by an enemy is either light or dark, and the player can change colors to absorb same-color shots, avoiding damage and building a super attack meter.
