Somewhere between a remake and a sequel to the N64 game, Bangai-O on the Dreamcast changed the charge/combo system used for scatter bombs significantly. In the Dreamcast game, the power of your scatter bombs' explosion depends on how many bullets are on the screen and how close you are to them. Furthermore, you no longer have to hold still to charge these attacks. Bangai-O's English translation by Conspiracy Entertainment is famously, uh, creative. Three cheers for Bangai-O!
