Rumor: Advanced Wars 2 sacks Europe in January

Word via the all-knowing, all-seeing intertron is that Advance Wars: Days of Ruin is going to be hitting Europe next month, complete with a new subtitle in Advance Wars: Dark Conflict. With a release window of January 2008, the rumor is that Europeans will likely be enjoying one of the best DS games to date in a short time. As you already know, the game is slated to release in the U.S. on January 21st.

Hopefully, this isn't a rumor and is fact, but considering that the only outlet running the story is Cubed3, without a mention on any other major European gaming news site, we're remaining incredibly skeptical about the whole thing. In fact, we even tried to call Nintendo of Europe, but couldn't get through to anyone able to offer an official comment. In a perfect world, this would be fact, but we've been burned before so keep in mind that we're chalking this one up to another product of the rumor mill.

Our day is anything but ruined by this new Advance Wars 2 trailer

As with all JeuxFrance videos, you might have to put up with some longer-than-usual load times and buffering issues, so keep that in mind. The video has some of the screens from our gallery below, so portions of it may be familiar, but for the most part it is brand new. Deliciously brand new. And with all of the other videos available, we're finding it to be incredibly difficult to keep our jaw off the ground.

New Advance Wars gets date, confirmation, name

Apparently, Nintendo has been working in secret on the new Advance Wars game, officially dubbed Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. As of right now, the game is only months away, with a release date in place for January 21st. With some fresh footage of the title hitting the nets, we find ourselves quite happy for the release date, because our date of birth is only a few days before (the 18th, if you must know).

Who's with us in being immeasurably excited?

Fresh new look at Advance Wars sequel

Oh, sweet time suck. How we've longed to return to your lengthy embrace. Even though we don't know much yet about what to expect when it comes to the sequel to the beloved Advance Wars: Dual Strike, we don't care. It's enough to know that, somewhere, someone is feverishly working to bring us joy. New screenshots will help us through this time. On this one, we're easy to please. Now leave us to our dreams.

Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of playing with you tonight

Somewhere out there someone's planning a war
And we'll crush one another in that big somewhere out there

And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright tank ....
