We're used to seeing the ESRB spill the beans on upcoming games, but this time, that isn't the case. Instead, PEGI, the European rating system, informs us of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, a new Lucasarts game for the DS and PSP. Sadly, that's all we know, but seeing as how we all love Indiana so much (excluding his latest movie), it's enough for us to get excited.

New Indiana Jones game headed to the DS
We're used to seeing the ESRB spill the beans on upcoming games, but this time, that isn't the case. Instead, PEGI, the European rating system, informs us of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, a new Lucasarts game for the DS and PSP. Sadly, that's all we know, but seeing as how we all love Indiana so much (excluding his latest movie), it's enough for us to get excited.
Indiana Johnny and the Epic Escape Campaign
Likely capitalizing on this year's box office release for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, developer and publisher Success has announced a new adventure title that features a very familiar-looking archaeologist.Sporting a dusty brown fedora hat, Jonathan Westwood stars as an escape route specialist in Johnny's Epic Escape Campaign (Jonny no Dasshutsu Taisaku Ikusa). Though he isn't armed with a whip and he doesn't have a short Asian sidekick named Short Round, Jonathan will be escaping from four different scenarios that sound a lot like Indiana Jones movie titles:
- Akumu no Gamble Night (Nightmare Gambling Night)
- Nessa no Nuikyuu (Labyrinth of Hot Sand)
- Nuifu kara no Sasoi (Invitation from Hades)
- Wasurerareta Kaizokusen (The Forgotten Pirate Ship)

DS releases for the week of June 2nd

- The Incredible Hulk
- Kung Fu Panda
- Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
- Summon Night: Twin Age
The DS Life: Indiana

Today's profiled figure: "A professor of archeology, expert on the occult, and how does one say it? Obtainer of rare antiquities." You already know who it is, but grab your hat and whip, anyway, and meet us past the post break for some look-alike treasure.
LEGO Indy whips a small portion of the internet into shape

It's a little light on the DS side, instead offering up screens and other media from the console versions of the game, but there's some nice concept art to look at, as well as a link to a demo of the game you can play on your PC. That's something, right? Right?
LEGO Indy dated, exclusive DS features revealed
Concealed deep within Stephen Totilo's impressions of LEGO Indiana Jones, Once outside, we examined our haul, and found that Traveler's Tales' whip-crackin', boulder-fleein' game would ship on June 3rd. Totilo -- sorry, the treasure -- also revealed that the DS version would feature stylus control for Indy's whip, will have microphone support (to blow out torches, natch), and will allow us to control the monkey from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Monkeys can only make anything better, really.
