Last week we didn't have that good of a showing as far as Game Nights are concerned. This week, though, we want to fix that. So, if you are planning on ditching tonight's Game Night, know this: we will find you. We will emerge from a bush or a dark closet within your close vicinity and
ask you why you didn't show up.
We then might even throw a tantrum.

Last night's Game Night was kind of a bust, we must admit. There wasn't that great a turnout and connection problems plagued the participants. But, hey, that's life; we can't control everything. But, there's always next week to look forward to. And, it's also time to reset the poll, so let's get to it!

As the work week nears its end, Game Night presents itself. Like a small rodent ducking its head out from a hole in the ground, it quickly scans the surrounding landscape for predators. Oh, but it doesn't know about us, as we spring from behind it, grip it and wrestle it to the ground. We have conquered the beast and now prepare for Game Night!

Last night's session was, again, hindered by Nintendo's servers. For some reason, everyone reported lag across the board. That isn't to say we weren't able to get our game on, though. Oh well, can't win 'em all, eh?
Hit up the poll to vote for next week's theme game and we'll see you there!

When we woke this morning, it was very reminiscent of Christmas mornings as a child, as we sprung out of bed and ran out to the living room with a large smile on our face. We knew this day of all days would ensure that we got to at least play
one game, no matter how busy we are. Are you ready to take that hour-long break with us later on?

Plain old
picross, like
sudoku, does a perfectly adequate job of scrambling our otherwise capable brain stuff. We watch with terror as more grid-filling puzzle games come to the DS, and hope nobody holds a gun to our head and tells us to solve one of these things. By the way, if you were planning to do that, don't. It's
rude.
Hudson's
Illustlogic DS + Colorful Logic adds
different colored tiles to the grid. Even if you mark in the correct location, you can
still get it wrong because of the color. Trying to placate us with the occasional
Bomberman powerup doesn't distract us from the fact that Hudson hates us and wants to give us stress headaches!

As far as Game Nights go, last night's was one of the best. We had a great turn-out, with plenty of people in the chat, conversing and gaming. It was fun, to say the least, and we want it to get even
funner better. So, make sure you hit up the poll below to vote on next week's theme game and tell your friends about Game Night!

Welcome to Thursday, folks, and welcome to our weekly Game Night session. See, we get together once a week and throw down in some Wi-Fi games. If you have
any Wi-Fi games, you should stop by our chat and play, as we can almost guarantee someone else will be trying to play that game, too. Where should you go to join the action?
Head past the post break and find out!

If you enjoy making puzzles in
Picross DS, then we've got the contest for you. See, Nintendo of Europe is looking for the best and brightest puzzle creators in the region to submit their master works, entering them in the contest to win fame and stardom. The best fan-made puzzles will be included in an upcoming puzzle pack!
The contest is open
right now and ends on August 27th, so you'd better get cracking. The winning puzzles will then be included in a "Best of Europe" pack, available for download, from August 31st until September 7th. Then, another puzzle pack combining the "Best of Japan" will be made available from September 10th until September 14th, revealing the winners of a similar contest going on in that region.
Yay for user-generated content!

No wonder the
Brain Age franchise keeps
getting NoA's Reggie Fils-Aime in trouble -- we're all renting it instead of buying it, according to GameFly. We're actually pretty surprised to see
Brain Age 2 at the top of the list on the rental service. The other games rounding out the current top five most-requested DS titles aren't surprising to us at all; it's a rousing round of try-before-you-buy, especially with the sketchy
Heroes of Mana swinging in at number two. We can even understand people wanting to try out
Picross; after all, not everyone loves paint-by-number, even when it comes in an awesome package. But with a budget-priced
sequel, we figured most people who were interested enough in
Brain Age 2 to be looking ahead would just pick it up come release day, or toss down a preorder somewhere.
Are you looking at this one as a rental? Maybe considering that
shiny bundle? While you ponder, check out the current top five most-requested DS titles at GameFly; we've tucked the list behind the break.

Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connect service just wouldn't cut us a break last night, as several people in the room experienced problems trying to connect in
Mario Kart DS. But, we are determined to enjoy our Game Night every week, crappy service be damned. So, hit up the poll below and vote for next week's theme game.

Did you folks have fun at Game Night yesterday? We sure did, as not only did we manage to get some
Tetris DS in, but also a rather lengthy match of
Metroid Prime Hunters. As far as Game Nights go, it was one of the better ones. Yet, there were still some people who just couldn't get in on the action. So, this week, we want you to tell a friend about Game Night and get him or her to commit to attend. If they don't, give us their address and we'll drag them there, kicking and screaming.
