In their ongoing coverage of Starfox Command, Famitsu has revealed some interesting tidbits about the game as well as unveiled several new screenshots and game art. Turns out Fox is all alone now, with his comrades having gone on to greener pastures. With Falco off exploring the vast regions of space, Peppy taking up the role of a general, and Slippy having found the toad of his dreams, Fox continues to fight the good fight alone. This game also marks the return of Star Wolf.Gameplay will be handled via two distinctly different modes. In the map mode, you're charged with using the stylus to trace out a route to your designation, encountering enemies along the way, which then takes you into the adventure mode where you can fly your plane and take out said enemies.

No doubt attempting to organize the masses of people who constantly barge into stores at random intervals and demand games that aren't due for release in months, Nintendo has sent out a handy "release list" thing. If we understand this correctly, it's supposed to tell you on which day some of their major DS games will be set loose upon the public. That's Nintendo for you--always innovating.
StarFox Command, the newly renamed DS adventure featuring Arwings, anthropomorphic pilots and gratutious amounts of spinning is now set to release on 28 August 2006. Apart from maneuvering through 3D landscapes and blasting enemy ships to smithereens, you'll be able to draw routes on the bottom screen for your teammates to follow as they assist you in taking over enemy bases. We assume that's where the "Command" part comes in.
