Wright, who recently pointed to the lack of a mouse for consoles as a problem for simulation games, said, "the DS is also very interesting to us, as its control scheme could be very manageable for the game." While the stylus is no mouse, it can certainly provide similar functionality and perhaps even more precision in some cases.
Sadly, Wright's comments on Spore beyond the PC make any possible plans sound very long range ....

Spore will be just like all of Will Wright's games. Incredibly addicting for 2 or 3 weeks and then you realize they're boring as hell and you never touch them again. Am I the only that doesn't care about this game?

On the internet? Probably.
But honestly..This looks far more compelling than the Sims.

Loban, I'm with you. I've read about it, but it just doesn't seem so great. And I hate The Sims.

Loban and Josh, for some reason I think you're FPS gamers...

Wilson, my favorite genre is RPG, but I also play strategy, action, adventure, platformer, some simulation, etc. and of course, FPS.

I've played alot of Will Wright's simulation games in the past. Although they are addicting and fun to tinker around with for a few days, the replay value isnt that great. But if spore does plan to make an appearence onto the ds, i'll give it a chance. Creating a universe by pointing and touching seens very appealing to me.

I also enjoy all genres. Although I will admit I do like FPS the most, but not just mindless shooters, any game in a first person view I like just because it's more interactive and personal.
But I do loves RTS and RPG as well. I guess I just don't care about this game because I play SOOO many games and I don't have the time or the effort to put into playing a game so large and so open. Plus, they just seem to get boring quickly.

Naaah, they have a point. I played the Sims until the point of playing it just *poof* disappeared.
Still, Spore does look nifty and shows promise. Of course a few years ago so did the Sims.
