Apparently, the
rumors were tragically untrue and Paul W.S. Anderson is actually still helming the Castlevania movie. But not
just a movie, mind you. He wants a full-on cult franchise. Someone should really tell him that one already kinda
exists, Y'know, in the source material. Meaning the games. That, combined with Anderson's
"Dracula Begins" remark that keeps being repeated just makes us want to hide until all this blows over. It's a dark day for Castlevania devotees. If you need us, we'll be huddled in the corner, rocking back and forth in time with the music from
Symphony of the Night.

I mean, full on cult franchises... GONE video games have always worked out, take... Resident Evil for instan... Oh wait, no... Uh, How about House of the Dead? No, that was terrible too... Okay, okay, what good game films have there been... ... Dead or Alive... No, uhm... Heck, even Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was disapointing and that wasn't even hollywood for gods sake! There should be a law prohibiting the creation of movies based off popular video game franchises unless they're made of win and awesome... So that rules all future video game movies out... Same goes for comic books and whatever else gets murdered by Hollywood.

I can't wait to play a game based on that Castlevania movie! What's it called? "Castlevania: The Movie (The Video Game)"? Rock!

You don't actually say that you want something to be a cult franchise... I don't think you should even be thinking that when you're working on a project...
