I would have loved Meteos to have WiFi play, but WiFi play didn't appear till much after it's time.
Also: Nintendo needs to give the DS a way to connect to WPA Networks. This WEP-only stuff is annoying, and the Nintendo WiFi-adapter is a huge problem of it's own since it messes with your network settings and disables ALL incoming connections. The only thing I can think of is a dedicated box or have the adapter running via a virtual machine.

Pretty big list this could be I would say True Swing golf with wifi would be great Tiger Woods just wasnt as good. Age of Empires would be another awesome one but I think the creme de la creme would be somthing like Ouendan.
Actually even the StarTrek game would have been salvagable if it had online multiplayer.

It is obvious that most multiplayer games greatly benefit from being playable online. I am thinking of Contra 4 right now.
However, online for such action games is very hard to pull off. Go read 1up's Nanostray 2 dev diary:
http://www.1up.com/do/my1Up?publicUserId=5900765
Peter Weiss says that the devs would have liked to enable the co-op game to go online. However, for shmups you need the smallest possible latencies between player actions and game reactions. Such latencies can drag on to the order of hundreds of milliseconds online, so that echoes of the other player's actions and game reactions may come to your own game much too late --- long after you died, for instance.
Don't get me wrong, however: online action games CAN be done. Case in point: action puzzle games like Tetris or Planet Puzzle League. However, high latency is, most often, not a game-breaker in this case, as the only actions that really need quick reaction or echo on the other player's game is the use of items. In other instances, if your report of the other player's game starts lagging on your screen, you can keep on playing and avoid dying.
It is true though, that for turn-based games such as Puzzle Quest, card battlers and strategy games, not going online is utterly unexcusable by now.

Mario Hoops 3 on 3 of course! We could be hosting online basketball tournaments. The single player mode was a blast (a little hard but that's what makes it fun). So just think of how fun tourneys against people across the world would be! If this game had WIFI, it would be right up there on the stats w/ Mario Kart over at the Nintendo WIFI site.

Me too! I actually liked that game, and unfortunately no one else I know owns it. So it's either play against too easy or too difficult AI :/

I'd like to play 2 player alternating New Super Mario Bros. over wifi, and be able to talk to a friend on the other end. 2 player alternating is too oldschool now, I suppose.

Mario Party DS, obviously.
And...argh, this breaks my heart: Puzzle Quest. Puzzle Quest has SO MUCH WiFi potential it's not even funny!!
Also, My Sims....WTF was with no Wi-Fi on this? SERIOUSLY!
Nintendogs...argh...I got my copy *with* my DS, thinking it DID have WiFi instead of just wireless local play....grr.....that game should have had WiFi. It would have made it's replay value so much better.

Omtamarama - Not only does it not have WiFi, it doesn't even have multiplayer. Considering the game is totally a 2 player battle game, against an AI opponent, why no multiplayer?

I second Mooga on Meteos.
Geometry Wars Galaxy with online multiplayer instead of just leaderboards would've been great, too.
