Now, for some less ... awkward SNK news: this trailer for Metal Slug 7 is so not about harassing schoolgirls that you could probably be seen looking at it. You may even be able to bring yourself to buy this game in a store, without a disguise on.
There's enough content in the trailer to motivate us to make such a non-incognito purchase, as well. The animation looks wonderful, at least as far as we can tell from YouTube, and there are at least two awesome new vehicles: the Slug Truck, a mine cart thing, and Slug Giganto, a giant robot! Even minor features like the prisoner database sound great.

I can't believe I'm actually going to pay $50 for this game, but it looks like the decision has been made. Maybe I can find it used by the time I get my hands on Ouendan 2, Band Bros. DX, and Wii Fit.

Looks like pure Metal Slug awesome (albeit it could use more zombie blood vomiting)!
Although I did notice what looked like considerable slowdown/low frame rates for small periods (under a second) during some of the clips where lots of stuff was flying around...
I guess I'm not expecting it to be rock solid all the time, but hopefully slowdown isn't going to be an issue in a game where a fraction of a second is the difference between life and death.

Holy shit. That looks just like Metal Slug. BUT, due to the low quality of the vid I was not able to make out if the backgrounds are handpixelled or not?! Since the ones in the early shots were NOT. Which sucks. :/

That looks better than I ever expected! Everything about it just screams "Metal Slug". It looks so, so much better than the GBA Metal Slug game which was okay, but felt like a heavily cut down version of the real thing.
This is the real deal!
