Music Monstars is a new music game developed by Novarama and published by JoWood Ibérica and Tivola, which combines the gameplay styles of Ouendan with instrument-simulating music games like Jam Sessions and Band Brothers in an interesting way. Notes are played by tapping shrinking circles on the screen as in Ouendan, but those circles correspond to keyboard keys, drums, or guitar strings in such a way that players play the song in the game by tapping. Eventually, then, it could be possible to play the song without the "assistance" of the circles.
But to really see why Music Monstars is awesome, watch the above video. Then have a look at the two after the break. We really, really hope it gets released outside of Europe (but with the band Europe intact).
[Thanks, Sam!]

Wow, that looked... hard. And how did he know how long to hold the keys on the piano (aside from knowing the song I mean...). I didn't see any indicator for that.
Despite that, it looks great. Ouendan/EBA+ Band Brothers= instant win.

That actually looks pretty fun.
(Oh! And I was wishing that on that last song there was a big fat monster on the top screen waving his arms back and forth. That would have really tied the whole thing together.)

If you ask me it doesn't look as good as EBA/Ouendan. The instrument thing seemed like a good idea at first but it limits where they can put the markers (i.e they can't use the whole touch screen) and as has already been said how would people know how long to hold the notes down for (unless it produces the held note from the touch). Also without the orders it looks like harder songs could become impossible to remember the order of the markers. Plus that dancing this was just irritating. I doubt I'll pick this up.

I think these three tracks alone sold me on this game, if it ever hits the states.
