That is, we'd be more likely to believe it was a joke if not for this. Seriously, click that link. You will say "wow." Now all we need to know is if this is a port, a remake, a sequel, or a card-based spinoff!

I'm actually in the same boat as aj.
My SNES collection consisted of Mario games, Kirby Super Star, Avalanche, and Dreamland 3, and a bunch of third party crap games. Never owned A Link to the Past until the GBA game came out, same with FF IV and VI. I actually still don't have FF V, and I'm waiting for Earthbound to come out on VC. I finally got Super Metroid when it came out on VC.
Now Chrono Trigger is finally coming out on DS and, even though I've played it so many times on an emulator, I never owned the game legitly.

Awesome. When does that put it into my grubby little North American hands, eh? 2009 or so?
Ah hell. I already bought Chrono Trigger AND Final Fantasy IV for PlayStation. Why bother buying the same thing in a new package? Square is getting lazy. But they'll probably make a billion dollars on the deal. And I'll probably buy it anyways.

WHOOOOAAAAAMGGGGGGGGGG~!
i seriously hope it's not a card game type of spinoff like kingdom hearts. what a terrible disappointment that would be.
they should just redo the graphics like they're doing to final fantasy. same story, same everything *THUMBS UP*

Just saw the link on OCR after wanting to make a Golden Sun album request after popping Chrono Symphonic on after seeing someone bring up CT on a "[FFIV(DS)] makes a FFVII remake more of a possibility" thread.
... wow, what a strand.
Anyway, just texted everyone on my cell phone who I know or suspect to be interested in this. Came here to drop the line, but, eh, I'm slow. Jeez, this is finally coming true. I was thinking "maybe a new game," but the URL makes that hard to believe. Oh, here's to hoping that touch-screen dynamics finally meet with a game born for them (at least from what I think I can tell).

I remember when there were polls here to determine what the most awaited game for the DS was and CT consistently came up on top.
This is ablsolutely incredible. I hope they give it the FFIV treatment.

CC would be great, but I'm not sure the DS is up to that big a game.

Excellent news!
Looks like Square Enix are further confirming the fact that the DS is the place to be for RPG's these days.

My ears just perked up, but I won't be showing interest until I know exactly what's going on -- a spinoff, a port, 2D or 3D, et cetera.
Still, I have a friend who loves CT so much that he might buy a DS JUST for this game.

square enix must be running out of original ideas for new rpgs, since remakes seem to be the bulk of their up and coming projects haha.
