DS Fanboy

I am 38 y.o. male and I thought I was nuts. I have begun an interest to collect DS Lites based on new colors coming out in the US. I have Onyx (plain but it was my first,) and love the Crimson/Black, Cobalt/Black, Guitar Hero (I can't believe you complained about the logo? At least it has some solid color instead of thin black outlines!) I also thought the pictured Pirates of the Caribbean version worked, not as ugly as you thought. Anyway collecting these obv is a real expensive hobby which my wife is po'd about. After going to Nintendo World and seeing some of these and more Ltd. Edition DSL's I am disappointed truly. The Final Fantasy Versions are imho severely lacking especially with the beautiful artwork in the games and manga...same goes esp for TWEWY (which is the only game I have played since I got into DS that actually blew my socks off!) The artwork in the game is the best I have seen. Unfortunately I won't be caught dead actually owning the Pink(see below,) dont care for the Polar white. I doubt I'll pick up the Metallic Rose, but will def at some point buying the Zelda Gold (HOT!) and I look forward to any other hot colors coming out! Maybe even Love and Berry! (for the collection only, of course!) I may try to get the Yellow Pokemon, the other Pokemon eds. bore me, as do most of the black on white crap above! Sorry if I rain on anyones parade, I'm sure the fans of these kinds hate me right now... no flaming okay? Anyway... my collection will be small I am sure, based on funds vs. actual game playing need. When there was a DSL shortage here last XMAS I bought a Pink to use for week...shhh!--then sold it on Craigslist for more than I paid for it. Supply and Demand, huh my friends? Gettting back to the topic: I would love to see a Professor Layton Version Full Color Artwork obv. and what about having that One-of John Carmack hand-painted Orcs and Elves version sold (over $3K I believe) on ebay a few months ago? If game designers did some LTDs for Nintendo even mass produced people would snap them up. I end with this... any thoughts on having your own professionally done artwork on an existing DSL you own? I have no artistic talent, but I am sure those of you out there who do, have already worked on theirs. Let see some pics!

lol, actually I got this on a local store in Jakarta, Indonesia. they sell it for 3,5 million Rupiah, around $382. worth the price for me. a limited edition DS lite with a cute pikachu symbol in front of it ^^.
