If you're forever mixing up your Wiimotes and don't wish to use your sister's because girls totally have cooties, there are only two obvious ways you can distinguish your controllers: colored straps or colored skins.

However, if you were a Platinum Club Nintendo member in Japan in 2006, you had a third, infinitely cooler option: sending your Mii to Nintendo through Wii Connect and getting an image of your avatar printed on a Wii Remote battery cover.
