Pokemon Platinum

If we saw only one DS game during the Nintendo conference this year, it would be Pokemon Platinum. Considering the success of Diamond and Pearl (and, also, Pokemon), they're going to push this one hard.

Why it's likely: The DS prints money. Pokemon is the ink on which it runs.

Why we might not see it: Unless Platinum will take longer to localize than Diamond and Pearl, we'll see it this year. It should be out before next E3... but not for a while.

Prediction: Great odds! If we can expect Pokemon Platinum next April, or even sooner, this is a good time to announce it. Start the hype train early.
