How many DS games do you own?

We were stalking people checking out flickr today, when we stumbled upon a user's collection of DS games and started to wonder what the average DS user's collection was like. So, like any good blog, we decided to run a poll. Go ahead, cast your vote and let your voice be heard for the ages.

How many DS games do you own?
I don't play that much: between 1 and 5
I'm known to bust out the DS every now and then: between 6 and 10
Wherever I am, I'm staring at my DS: between 11 and 15
DS owns my soul: greater than 16
What's a DS?

1. Not sure the categories necessarily follow. I play a lot, I just only have 5 games.

2. Ditto on that, maybe its just trade-in-itis, but when I'm done with a game I don't really keep it around. I focus my efforts on one or two games at a time. There are a few titles I will probably always keep around, like Castlevania, and I have a nice little stack of GBA games, but only 4 DS games.

And I hate to be that guy, but I make good use of gamefly at the same time. I've rented a few games that I've enjoyed but not necessarily wanted to throw $30 at. Got to save for those Wii games, you know.

But yeah I don't see a correlation between number of games owned and the frequency you play your DS.

3. I lost count a bit after 10 XD But it's true that everywhere I go, I'm staring at my DS, playing Tetris online. My collection is quite lovely I must say. I've gotten at least 20 hours out of each game... that even includes Brain Age and Cooking Mama. So if I've gotten 20 hours out of those games, you know I've racked some serious hours in some games.

4. true..I only own three at the moment, but I've had 11 different games (that I can remember). Especially since one store by my house sells ds games for 15, then buys them back for 10.

5. Well, I buy games, play them through and sell 'em when they lose the replay value (I still have a copy of Mario Kart DS - my only game now, but that'll change (Gyakuten Saiban 2 is released tomorrow, yay). Can't afford too keep more than 3 games at once (though I'd love to :( ).

6. I only own 7 games but I've rented a ton courtesy of Gameaccess.ca (similar to gamefly but for Canadians).

7. Yea... tell me how my DS collection of 2 years is quickly creeping up on my Gamecube collection of 5 years? At this rate... I'll have more DS games than SNES games by the end of its lifetime (and I have a LOT of SNES games).

Go DS!

8. hahaha, holy crap, man. I never noticed how many DS games I have until this was posted. I've got 16, and I still play em all!... I need a life, but the games are too fun!

9. I didn't get a DS until the Lite came out, and I already have 11 games. There's a couple with no replay value, but I couldn't bring myself to trade them in.

Castlevania, Ouendan and Tetris are definitely the most played by me. NSMB and Cooking Mama by my kids. And, only Ouendan for the wife.

10. We've got 12 total games, but two much-frequented copies of Animal Crossing: WW. As a two-DS household, we tend to hold onto the games a bit longer perhaps, since nearly all the games have some form of single-card dl play (Clubhouse, Tetris, Jump SS, etc.).

11. I realize that this link I'm gonna post isn't exactly a DS collection, but it's impressive nonetheless.

As for selling my games... no way, man. I love my games too much for me to sell em. Unless they're just crappy, then they deserve to be sold back. Like Goldeneye: Rogue Agent.

12. I've got 13 games in a little over a year =)

13. I own 7 games, and I've had my DS Lite for little over two months now. SM64DS, Castlevania, Trauma Center, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Kirby Canvas Curse, Mario Hoops 3-on-3, Rocket Slime. Going to buy Contact and FF3 DS when I can, and I think that'll be it for this year, maybe save for Kirby Squeak Squad.

14. I only "own" three games, but I have about 20 on my SuperCard SD, so what category do I fall under? To be honest, though, I only play about 4-5 games with any regularity.

15. I have 1 real ds game, the rest are stored on a flashcart which imo is much better then carrying around 10 ds games

Posted at 2:29PM on Oct 25th 2006 by Ryan 0 stars

16. I could probably say more than 15... I have about 20.

I haven't beaten them all, but they are just great specially for me who travels around alot because of work! It's the portable console that keeps an gamer in check with current games when I can't lug around a big console system. I prefer DS to any console out now anyway.

17. I voted between 6 and 10. And then I actually sat down and counted them up. My collection is at 13, soon to be more with all the fall releases. I only trade in games that I really didn't enjoy *cough*BreakEmAll*cough*, the rest I like to collect. Especially ones that are quirky and would be hard to come by used. I might get tired of Cooking Mama eventually, but I would never part with her!

18. ::laughs:: that's my collection. :) Yay for celebrity!

19. I have 26 DS games and counting. Yup, I'm a DS whore and lovin' it. :)

20. 24. I'd own more if I had an income right now, but right now everything I have saved up from my last job is going towards Wii.
