Import avenues once again without traffic

Popular importer Lik-Sang has filled all of their preorders and are there once again for your anxious importing mouse-click. They've even got that addictive Crystal Cocaine Lite available. I personally have been waiting for its release stateside, but it's getting harder and harder with each new happy owner I read about.

1. I am so tempted to get it now, but seeing how the all the rumors are telling me that the DS Lite is coming stateside soon, I'd feel like a chump plunking down the extra cash.

2. Some DS lite were available in Japan on monday... morning only !

3. Agreed... I have the money, and I really want it more and more everytime I read an article about it. Yet, with the money I'd save by waiting, I could just by more games. Sigh, hopefully it will get released next month with New Super Mario Bros.

4. I read about the mario brothers bundle pack too... not sure whether they will announce it soon. They have actually got the pre order for the bundle pack posted on the Barnes and Noble site, amusingly for 9.99??? what gives? But I am not going to wait any longer and will probably get one from liksang.com or renchi.com as renchi have the bundle pack for the brain age game, in stock!

5. I just checked my Play-asia account, it said my Crystal Cocaine DS Lite is ready to ship as well! Awesome! (Along with Super Princess Peach), but oddly enough not the convertor plug that I need with it, but if that doesn't ship I can probably grab one of those in the UK.

So take note, Play-asia maybe getting their stock back in too!

6. o man! y not ship more crystal white versions if the demand is more?! thats just not fair man

7. I'm starting a fund to buy myself a DS Lite. If anyone is interested, please email me and I'll send you details about how to donate via Paypal.

8. Why I ordered from Lik-Sang...
1. I wanted it now, and yes, it is much better.
2. I wanted the best trade-in value for my existing system (I received $70.00). I can only assume that when the actual systems are released here, trade in value will plummet (I paid 199 + 16 shipping - $70 = 145).
3. If it sells well in the US, prices will inflate anyways.
4. Even if black is released here, I wanted the navy blue.
5. I have never had a problem with a Nintendo system and am not concerned with support.
6. People are impressed with the wow factor. When everyone has it, no wow factor.

Just my 2 cents.

9. matguard, where did you get the $70 trade in at? I was debating doing the same thing.

At a local independent store. EB and Gamestop are doing $50 or $55 still.

You still get a pretty fair deal.

11. I definitely want a DS Lite. I'm not really playing my DS right now. I've been going nuts on my Xbox 360. I've been thinking about selling my DS phat now to get more money. I'd be DSless for a month or so.

I just watched the latest episode of IGN Weekly. They did a little review of Brain Age on the DS lite. That thing looked awesome. The picture looked amazing. Gotta get one now.

12. What differences between regular DS lite and Cocaine edition? Only in color sheme?

Posted at 4:50PM on Apr 19th 2006 by Vacat

13. I'm not selling EITHER of my phat DS's (I and my wife have one). I'm banking on DS to Revolution connectivity (ala GBA->cube). So when I get 2 Lites, I'll have 4 DS's all together.

Great for 4 player games w/rev connectivity.

Of course, no such feature has yet been announced YET, but I wouldn't be at all suprised if they did at E3.

14. @#13

There are 3 colors for the DS Lite in Japan: Enamel Navy, Ice Blue, and Crystal White. There were shortages of the Crystal White version because of its popularity. Lik-Sang, an importing website dubbed that color Crystal Cocaine as a joke.

http://www.dsfanboy.com/2006/04/08/ds-lite-shortage-subsiding/

So no, there is no difference between the three besides color.
