... the unlikely hero that was Mr. Game & Watch. This blobby, blacked-out figure featured in over half of all Game & Watch titles, was all but forgotten during the 1990s, and then shot back to fame ten years later thanks to his inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Melee. More recently, he also appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (though let's be frank: nobody in their right mind actually picks him).
Cutely, each of his Special Moves in the game are named after Game & Watch handhelds.

nobody picks him? you're kidding, right? he's unstoppable in brawl, easily one of the best characters in the game, far better than he was in melee.
at least they bothered to include him at all *cough*dr. mario*cough*

Once you wrap your head around his playing style he's awesome. I played as Mr. Game & Watch in melee as a joke at first, but over time he changed to my main. He improved a lot in Brawl, I've yet to lose a 1 on 1 match using him!
