Metroid Prime Hunters commercial all dark and edgy
So, I have this great idea for a Metroid Prime Hunters commercial. Since it would have to appeal to those hip kids of today, the content would have to be dark, gritty and just generally disagreeable. A post-apocalyptic future is obviously the way to go, perhaps with some neon lights and masked strangers thrown in for good measure. With the setting established, we next turn to the other increasingly popular thing amongst teenagers today: Death! Let's have bodies just fall from the sky, complete with a slick narrator saying something like "More ways to die" or something cool like that. Following that, we could have some game footage, but that's not really important. Great pitch, huh?
Oh? It's already been done?

(Page 1)2. it's funny though to see the Nintendo commercials going from "happy" and "jumping" to "death" and "darkness"

3. Wow, that's a slightly different commercial for Nintendo. It's better than any of Sony's commercials in my opinion.
I want the game!

4. I don't think they want to say the dude was digging bodies, he was digging up fossils. tut tut tut

5. This commercial is perfect for this game. Plus it's a good thing that Nintendo O.K.ed this because like what Darrel said, "The Metroid universe was never happy to begin with".
And also if you didn't notice, this is a "Nintendo" game (think happiness and bright colors), with a "T" rating (this makes the game more appealing to consumers age 13 and older). So this fits the game great.

6. All that technology and they still use shovels.
I like it though. It sure beats the hell out of those PSP commercials..
"psp...hellz yeah" and "psp.. it's like a nut you can play with outside"
WTF was Sony thinking? Those commercials MIGHT have been cool to 12 year old kids if they came out like 10 years ago, but I doubt it.

7. "All that technology and they still use shovels."
Hey, why fix what ain't broken? I guarentee you we will still be using shovels years from now.
A.) no way we use Bull dozers in a cemetary. thats just wrong. we don't do that now.
B.) its post apocalyptic. theres some tech, like the gravestone displays, but theres not alot, so they use shovels. the masks are probably to shield from radiation. dude, I am gonna write a fan fiction for this commercial. I liked it. it was morbid, but cool, and immersive. I bet theat cost them quite a bit.

8. I just thought it was funny.
Why not have a robot do the job?
What about some kind of tech that would cut a hole and suck up the dirt real fast or incenerate it?
I'm thinking something small and simple like a shovel, but not quite as primitive? Like that episode of futurama where leela pulls out the axe to cut down a tree but it's really a laser? heh..

1. The Metroid universe was never happy to begin with, so this commercial is quite fitting. Besides, I'd rather have that than the Zelda Rap. *shudders*
