Nintendo has gone ahead and tossed a fresh coat of paint on the DS section of their website to coincide with the release of the DS Lite this Sunday. The day draws near, and even though some of you folk were able to capitalize on the ignorance of retail employees around the country, there are still a few of us living in the dark and waiting for the Lite. So do we think this design is better than the previous one?

(Page 1)2. Yes, I do think the Lite is better than the Phat, but the Phat was great while it lasted, really just like every other Nintendo handheld, do you really need the re-design, or do you want to be the only dork left with the phat ugly black and silver DS?

3. I enjoy my Phat, and the DS lite to me is like the Gameboy Micro. A waste of time to produce really. It does the same thing a DS does,so why bother trading in? Sure its smaller, but I find smaller things are eaiser to lose and break.

4. i had the red Mario Kart edition, and i traded it for the lite...only because the lite looks nicer, and i'd look like less of a geek while i play w/ my DS
i believe a lot of other people r getting the lite for those same reasons.
But the phat is awesome, def. not ugly, just big-boneded

5. I think this post is about the DS website, not the DS itself.
But I'm going to ignore that and say I'm seriously considering jumping ship from the PSP now. It's gone unplayed too long and I can't find it under all of the dust bunnies. Too bad ebgames only gives a hundred for it :)

6. I like the DS-Lite cause with my poor vision, the brighter screen makes it infinately more playable. Now I just need to find some games on the DS i'm not bored with already.

1. Alright. Still nowhere near as informative or good looking as some of the other ds lite minisites.
europe - http://ms.nintendo-europe.com/dslite/
australia - http://dslite.nintendo.com.au/
japan - http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/lite/index.html
maybe we'll get something better when it's released, though i would think they'd want it out ahead of time to build up customers.
