The teaser site for Final Fantasy III has launched, chock full of character bios, topics, and a prologue. Only problem is it's in Japanese. So if you're fluent in the tongue of yonder land of the rising fun, then head on over and enjoy all the rich text and soak in the information. The rest of us will just have to be content with all of the pretty pictures.

Looks like WiFi features is DEFINITELY 100% confirmed finally. Though what this means is still unknown. I guess it's only a teaser site.
Uses a 1G DS cart! That's pretty huge, I remember the interview from Famitsu, with the producers saying how they really maxed out the DS.
Right now, they've got just a very very basic story prologue and one character profile (Luneth), can't wait for the full site!
Looking forward to this one big time!

Dude... 1G DS cart.. that's F*kin awesome. I love the fact that the DS uses Flash Memory like that.. and with Flash memory getting bigger and prices dropping, this could be the best choice of media in a long time.

Sorry but no cookie for you.
1GB != 1Gb.
GigaByte is bigger than a GigaBit.
Its kinda how the Cable companies get around charging you for broadband with 512 Kbps, and you get to download at around 50KBps.
1Gigabit is aroudn 125 Megabytes. Which is still pretty cool.
For reference, I'm pretty sure Metroid Prime Hunters used a 1Gb card as well.

Hey Nushio,
No need to go over semantics, but I actually never said 1 gigaBYTE. I simply quoted "1G" which is what FFIII's official site states as the cart size. I am aware of DS cartridges using gigabits.
But still, yeah, it's quite big, and thanks for letting me know Metroid Prime Hunters used it as well - I was just wondering myself what other games might have used a larger capacity cartridge.
Anyhoo - can't wait for the full site!
Slightly OT, but it's interesting comparing DS games from Western developers and Japanese developers. It also encompasses console gaming in general - but most DS games from the States and Europe seem to be smaller, budget versions of home console games. Like, they'd make a version of a game for every single platform. But there's all this original IP coming to specific platforms from developers in Japan, and the DS is a great flourishing example. Wonder why? Is it because there's more of a divide between consoles market share in the States (as in, some people might have an Xbox or a PS2 or a Gamecube etc, whereas in Japan, in the home console front anyway, almost everyone has a PS2), so there's a need for publishers to release a game on every system, or is it because they take less of a risk...Just some thoughts I've been pondering over...
