As president of the Australian Veterinary Association, Kersti Seksel thinks that video games were the major factor in reduced pet ownership numbers in the country this year. She thinks that these games are getting in the way of important developmental skills in the country's young, stating that these days "children interact more by playing computer games and less by going out there and throwing the ball to a dog. We need to learn people skills, physical skills, and sitting in the lounge room with a computer doesn't teach you that,"Of course, we don't buy this for a second, but not living in the country kind of invalidates our input. 1. Pet, Ownership... You mean pwnership? The only reason I even had a pet was to pwn it! I mean, i am keeping this small furry creature a prisoner, while letting it look at everything it is missing out on. If that isn't pwnership, I don't know what is. People who own dogs, actually GET pwned by the dog, due to the poop cleaning laws of the US.
This time we actually CAN blame video games. With the rise of more online games, I don't need a pet to pwn anymore, since I can pwn a noob any time 24 hours day just by picking up a controller.
You want us to buy more pets? Make them more challenging, legalize the ownership of bobcats and wolverines! That that would be extreme pwnership if you can pwn one of those!
