Totally and uncompromisingly manly news now, with the arrival of new screenshots and information about a game tasking the player to protect an impossibly cute protagonist via the power of magical rainbows. An update to a platforming classic, Rainbow Islands Revolution seems to be heavily bulked up on good old Bub and Bob nostalgia, not to mention loads of Most gamers look back on Rainbow Islands with fondness, remembering how they constantly leapt upon their newly created rainbows in an effort to reach the top of the stage. In the DS version, jumping has been replaced with floating, as your character has managed to get himself trapped in a bubble. Using the touch screen, you'll have to draw rainbows to guide him to the top and protect him from enemies who look cute on the outside but are really quite evil on the inside (see: Olsen twins). Stop me if you've heard this before.
Kidding aside, the game is actually looking quite promising. Following in the footsteps of something like Kirby: Canvas Curse is no easy task (especially since Kirby doesn't even have feet in the game), but if done right we'll have another great platformer on our big, strong hands.

1. This game looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun as is Kirby: Kanvas Curse. THE PSP IS DOOMED.
