DS Lite: I like Australia more than America

Not only do you guys have koalas, which are arguably nature's greatest contribution to the world outside the platypus, but now this?! Turns out the land down under will be receiving Nintendo's sexy new DS redesign a full 10 days before the 'ole U S of A. Now's your chance Australia, rub some salt into our collective wound!

[Thanks DownloadingData and Donutta!]

1. You forgot to mention the DS Lite will be more expensive in Australia. It will be 199,95 australian dollars, which is about USD $152.

2.
Typical of EB Games. They originally said September!

Woo hoo!

I'll fork out $200 AUD for this baby anytime. And it comes with the right power adapter!

3. "You forgot to mention the DS Lite will be more expensive in Australia. It will be 199,95 australian dollars"

That's not really a problem, since you see that the ORIGINAL DS is selling for $199AUD right now in AUS, or $209.95NZD in NZ.

Thats bundled with Mario. The system alone would've cost around AUD172 to AUD175

5. Don't forget tax. Our price includes GST, the US price does not. It ends up being around the same

7. Wow O:

I got my DS Lite for $180 USD with a Keys Factory smart case and Hori Screen Protectors then got my relo to send it over avoiding those rip off shipping prices that online shops offer including eBay. Gawd! Some eBay store was offering a DS Lite at $450 AUD + $70 AUD shipping. These people are stupid. The buyer - stupider

8. AHAHAHAHHAHAH! SUCK ON MY NINTENDO-LOVING BALLS!
bloody!.. FINALLY we get something before the U.S!
THATS RIGHT! I'll be soaking up the rays from my DS lite while you yanks cry and remain ignorant about world geography and whatever else you do! yay!

I could get used to this! HMMMM.. I wonder what the Wii release dates will be like??! :D

9. I got told this from a mate that owns a game shop last week but didn't think that it was official. Now it seems it must be, which is f**king awesome. But i supose its not to hard for Nintendo to launch here first because we only need like 50,000 to 100,000 units to cover the whole country.

10. I saw a DS Lite banner in a local EB a week ago, then I heard this news and I was like "Swhuh?!" It sounds too good to be true methinks they're going to get pre-orders and such and then go "Yep, there not here yet... maybe 11th they will come?" or something equally disappointing... still, I'm going to get one. The old one is heading to the hands of my girlfriend. :)
