You've got to love backwards compatibility -- after all, the fact that the DS can play GBA titles just means that our available library of games is just that much bigger. But that also makes choices just that much more agonizing. With so many games at our fingertips, how can we possibly choose the one or two we'll use to fill our spare hours in any given month? Of course, there are reviews and resources, but the best method for finding games to play is to share choices with like-minded individuals. Let's get our share on, then -- what are your favorite GBA games?

(Page 1)2. Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance is an awesome game.

3. The GBA has an excellent library with games, both old and new, that offer a lot of fun and challenge, and break up any DS dry spots that there may be.
Some of the newer GBA games I would reccoment for those who like good writting and lengthy gameplay (upwards to 50+ hours) for about 15-25$ are both Super Robot Taisen OG 1 and 2. The writting was surprisingly mature and the gameplay was addictive. However, the game is so long that it gets tedious by about chapter 42.
Another good game, albeit marred by some high difficulty at spots, is Yggdra Union. An interesting battle system with a lot of strategy involved. The instruction manual, however, is about 50, 60 pages long; there's a lot to know about what's going on. Also, when you lose a major character, it's game over, and you have to start the entire battle over again. The battle animations are detailed and cool, but pretty slow, so a battle that could be 30min with no animation, is made an hour by the battle cutscenes, which can't be turned off. Sometimes this game'll piss you off.
Classics like the first US fire emblem, and the Sacred Stones are great games with a good story (the first is better, and longer, I think). Mario and Luigi SUperstar saga was also very fun. If you can find Ogre Tactics (KNights of Lodis), that'd be an excellent purchace for it's story and FF Tactics gameplay.
My borther really loved all the FF remakes for the GBA including the 1&2 (dawn of souls?), 5, and 6 FF remakes.
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon is one of the best games for the GBA and is well worth the 14, 15 dollar pricetag I picked it up for on Amazon. Metroid Fusion also has a good story and an excellent look to it.
Among these, I think these would give anyone more than enough to do for a long time. It's still hard to put the ol' GBA to rest, since it's been an incredible machine.

4. Castlevania Double Pack... it's got more whip action than an SM site and way better music.

5. •Mazes Of Fate
•WarioLand 4
•Drome Racers
•Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones
•RebelStar: Tactical Command
•Sega's "Baseball Advance"
The last one is especially great, considering the DS hasn't ONE stateside Baseball title. I like this one better than even the PSP "The Show" MLB series. Great controls, great action.

6. FF6.
Am still playing it, still loving it, still wishing there were the FMV scenes from the PS version but the game itself is still splendid.

15. Awesome GBA Games:
Rebelstar: Tactical Alliance. Seriously, the makers of X-Com can't get any love in the 2000s? Come on guys, this game's like $10 now. Go pick up a copy. Please.
Summon Night 1 & 2: These are some of the funniest games I've ever played. Just look at the screenshots. The little girl talking about her dad being "WHIPPED!" always makes me chuckle. They're fun games, they were highly rated, and then everyone ignored them. Good job, people.
Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 1 & 2: More tactical goodness. I'd say this isn't as strategic as Rebelstar, but it's got big robots, and good writing, as well.
For a while, I was playing these games with my DS more than I was playing DS games. Show the love, people.

18. I've been buying a lot of used GBA carts at the local stores because they're usually cheap (cheaper than DS games anyway). So far I've really enjoyed:
1) Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - my favorite game of ALL TIME people
2) Castlevania Double Pack - Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow on the same cart. The graphics aren't as great as the DS titles but they're still pretty good -- and soon you don't notice the difference.
3) Fire Emblem - another great game for strategy
fans
4) Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - get it if you like M & L Partners in Time DS. Clean cute graphics, funny writing. The battles are easy though, not much challenge there.
5) FF IV and FF VI -- still need to buy FF V, might wait for the DS port now that we know they're coming out with IV for the DS, I expect V and VI will get the same treatment. These games are much better than FF III DS, I'm glad I played FF III first because otherwise I would've been disappointed in FF III.
6) Golden Sun -- I was bored at first but things start to pick up after you leave the village
7) Mega Man Battle Network - these game are ignored or knocked a lot, but I think they're fun (if a bit frustrating at times when you're trying to find one specific npc to finish a side quest). The battle system is a lot of fun, mainly because it's unlike anything else I've seen, and you can put a lot of thought and strategy into your battle chip folders. If you like RPGs then try one of these games, they should be super cheap in the used display case.

20. I just did a quick inventory of the GBA carts I kept from "the great DS purge" and I'm surprised to see that only a couple of them are original GBA titles and not ports of other games.
Warioware: Twisted
Zelda Minish Cap
Mario Golf Advance Tour
