YouTube user vladimire356 recently imported
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and, as a reader of DS Fanboy, took video of the game's opening movie and emailed us the link. It doesn't stop there, though, as we're given a look at the beginning gameplay segments of the title, also.
Now, if you're one who just
loves to have things spoiled for you, go ahead and head past the post break for the video.

So, is there an option to use the d-pad & buttons, or is it strictly stylus control only?
Thanks!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that's NOT an import.
The game doesn't even come out in Japan until tomorrow, so if it was an import that means it already spent a few days in the mail. Last time I checked they don't mail out games to importers before they are even released.
No, in reality that's a leaked version of the ROM, (it was leaked a couple days ago), being played via a DS flash card. Well actually, it could also be a video taken from one of the DS kiosks in Japan which recently put a demo up of the first ten minutes of the game. I'm pretty sure it's the former and not the latter, however.

I should not have downloaded it bc now I want to play but it is in Japanese.
And you really have to read it to know what to do.
Not like picross where you just have a few buttons to remember.
Let's wait for the english version :'(

Where have you been Mr. Khan? All the 2D Zelda games the water hurt you until you got the right item like the flippers or raft. Still weird Wind Waker Link who could swim in the ocean can't swim here.

Every Zelda game has had some sort of water limitations. In the 2D games you get hurt for going in the water. In the N64 3D games you could stay above water as long as you want but only below water for a very short amount of time. In Wind Waker you can't even go underwater, and above water is limited to a small amount of time before losing a heart.
I haven't played Twilight Princess yet, but I imagine it has similar limitations.

I presumed this game would play like the 3D Zeldas, though
And either way, its stupid to have a world based in water with a primary character who can't swim...

Knowing Link, he'll get flippers. He has to.
And its the return of the annoying "HEY!" from Navi.
Didn't watch all the video though. Don't want it spoiled cause I can't even read it.
