BTW, does anybody know what it means if some of your time trial scores are grey? My scores for F8C and Delfino Square are grey, and those just happen to be the courses I work on most, and hence have my best times in.

4. now if only this were incorporated in to the wifi system, and I could choose to play only players with the same skill level as me, then I might have a good time on wifi rather than wanting to claw my face off after getting screwed over by three snakers who can fall off of rainbow road and regenerate farther ahead of me than where they started!

i havent beaten all of the races yet though, only finished 50cc and parts of 100cc, and only raced online about 5 times.

Have to work on my Missions though, and I really wish I didnt suck so much when I first started playing on WFC, I'm still slowly creeping up to get a better win % the more I play nowadays. But, +100 points for every staff ghost beaten - probably best to work on that :)

mrk, while I was playing around with the ranking calculator it seems like if your times are below a certain threshold under the staff ghost time (I think 5 seconds or more), they turn grey instead of red. I'm working on beating all the staffers atm, I dont think I'm as good a kart'er as you seem to be if you have a 3800 TT score o_O, but the only red times are the ones which are below the staff ghosts. When I put in Delfino at 10 seconds below the staff ghost time while screwing around, the time went grey instead of red. Your DS/F8C times are pretty darn low, so I'm guessing that's why (DS staffer is 1:54:601 to your 1:49:434 and F8C is 1:36:481 to your stupidly low 1:22:956 ;)). Personally I can't beat Peach on Delfino since I've yet to figure out how to take the mud without a shroom... the MT's just dont seem to do enough for me to save any time over going the long way, and I tend to race single-shroom karts so I can only hit the pipe for one lap. Gotta work on my snaking to make it up in the straightaways.

but Wifi is - 17 still I don't know why because my wins are higher than my losses...

Got a blue shell as well...

mind you, I never use my shrooms when in time trial... I don't know why, I just try to beat the staff ghost... they're not too hard to beat them, even without mushrooms (except for in yoshi circuit and choco island 2, in which I haven't succeeded up to now). Consequently, my times will (quite) a bit lower than the gamers who use them... not that I care :p Of course, I use the boost as much as I can ... snaking some times... but I'm pro snaking because it requires much skill.. methinks...

and yet, not too bad for taking on the time trials for the first time... but the road is still long :p

+ I haven't played wifi yet... -_- so I inserted my lan-game results instead... d'you think that alters my results much?

anyhoo... hats off for those who get star rankings ....

150 = Green Shell
300 = Fake Item Box
600 = Red Shell
1200 = Bob-omb
2500 = Boo
4500 = Blue Shell
7000 = Star
10000 = Thunderbolt
14000 = Bullet Bill

It's all there in the source code... the entire page is written in javascript if you want to look at how much certain things are worth. 50cc GP's are worth 5 points per ranking (5 for a C rank, 10 for B, 15 for A, 20 for *, 25 for **, 30 for ***), 100cc are 10 points each rank, 150cc/150cc Mirror are 20 each rank. Beating staff ghosts in TT mode are worth 100 points each, 200 for getting a certain amount below staffer time, 300 for even further thresholds below staffer time. Mission levels give you X number of points per star... 5 per on Level 1, 6 for L2-L5, and 7 each on L6-L7. The WFC points given is weighted based on your win %, I didnt feel like digging through how exactly it works... and there's more, but if you'd like to dig through it all yourself you're more than welcome :)

Haha, thanks :). Beating all of the staff ghost will definitely improve your skill, so continue working on that. Delfino was one of the harder ones for me to beat :P.
