Just recently, I opened up a game box, as I was planning to lend Hotel Dusk to a friend ... and it wasn't there. Now, I've a bad habit of leaving my DS carts lying about, all scattered and free, but they're usually somewhere on my desk. This is the first time I've not been able to find one, however, after a quick, frantic search underneath unfiled papers and beneath the pen case. The dilemma (and the tears that followed) led me to ask: have you found yourself in a similar situation? Did you later find the games? Give a girl some hope here. Those carts are awfully small ....

I thought I lost my Chocobo Tales. At the time I had certain games in their cases and others in multi-card cases. Took me a panicked hour to realize it was in the latter :(

I lost one game. New Super Mario Bros. Unfortunately, I never found it. I didn't find the DS it was in either. They ran of together and I never saw them again. It sucked.

I lost my DS with Brain Age in it about a week and a half ago. Spent two days straight searching for it after work; checked everywhere in my apartment and in my car about 3 times. Just before I was about to buy another one after going crazy for wanting to play so bad, I thoroughly searched under the seats and found it wedged between the passenger seat and the floor in a weird position.
I don't know what I would do if I lost a Pokémon game. I have well over 1,000 hours collectively between all my games.
A friend of mine also had his car broken into and all of his GBA games and his system were gone for good a few years back. I felt bad for him, so I bought a new DS lite and let him have my old DS with a few GBA games to borrow.
Losing stuff sucks.

I have owned no less than four copies of the first Fire Emblem on the GBA. I purchased it shortly after a friend gave me a used GBA for Christmas, the main reason for the gift was so I would stop playing his copy of Fire Emblem. It was promptly lost in my dad's truck that Christmas break.
Figuring it had fallen out of the truck at a gas station or some such, I gave up and purchased a second copy. A year and a half later, my mother finds the first cart in the truck and gives it back to me. Having no need, so I thought, for a second cart I gave it to a friend in an attempt to lure him into the goodness that is Fire Emblem. Six months after that, my apartment was robbed and my GBA with all my games were taken.
As I was rebuilding my library with a new DS Lite (whee! reason to upgrade) my girlfriend bought me a used copy of the game (this makes three). Alas, the cart was busted and wouldn't load one of the levels. In a moment of supreme kindness and pity, the friend who gave me a GBA so I would stop playing his Fire Emblem gave me that same copy of the game.

Before anyone says anything, I treat my games like they are god.
I own 12 DS games. Well, I own their boxes, anyway.
Not a single DS game to be found, thanks to my brother and my nephew.

Just asking about the photo, is that Cart under the Cold War Kids' Album Robbers and Cowards? If so, Kudos.
No.
Double Kudos.
