Well, you didn't exactly hype From The Abyss, you know. I mean, three lukewarm posts isn't much for a game that looks very Mana-like.
Why not give it a proper review? I know IGN already did one, but they hardly ever do games justice there. DSF's reviews are much better IMO.
Are there more similarities to the Mana games than the art? Random dungeons, does that make it like Izuna? Is there a playable female main character?

From the IGN review, it sounds like a roguelike Mana game.
Which.....is.....awesome.

- It plays/"feels" like a Mana Game oO
- Dunno oO . The Map of the Areas look "randomish", just look at the pics and you probably know what I mean, the map looks simple with squares, but the actual layout doesn't look random or much inferior to those of Mana (specially Children of Mana

Children Of Mana isn't a good representation of the Mana series' awesomeness really.
But thanks for the info ^_^

@ everyone who thinks this is a roguelike:
It's not a roguelike. There's no item identification, deaths don't set you back to level 1 with no equipment, among other things.
It's more like Etrian Odyssey as an ARPG, with randomized dungeons instead of cartography (and probably even less story). You pick a player sprite, then their color scheme, then hack and slash your way through dungeons.
In the beginning the game asks you some questions that probably determine your base stats, but there are no classes.

Also, My Chinese Coach is out already? Does that mean My Japanese Coach is coming soon too?

Bangai is very hard. I don't know whether I'm built for these type of games anymore.

I finished Jap version of "From The Abyss", nothing much to hype, really. Not saying it's bad, but it's nothing special, really.
I'm hyped that N+ is finally near, can't wait! :D

Shame that Time Hollow got pushed back, or it really would be a stellar week for releases.

N+ got a 9.0 at IGN. That's better than the 360 version (which was fantastic)! You should do a meta review on it, as it is looking to be a fantastic title.

From the Abyss looks interesting, but I've heard that it's overall sparse on content--story, depth, length. I would have expected it to only make it out of Japan as a budget title, and I'm going to wait until it becomes one. It shouldn't take too long, considering that the box art Aksys chose is retail suicide. No one in their right mind is going to risk the embarrassment of purchasing it in a store with that quasi-dominatrix chick on the cover.
