The answer? Of course we do. It's Chrono Trigger we're talking about here, and it's coming to the DS! Bring on the videos! We have the three latest right here. Not enough for you? If you're really desperate for new-old content and can't wait for the game's release, then we recommend watching a speed run and reading the game's script.
Video, in case you forgot what Chrono Trigger looks like

This game should not cost $40. Then again its still cheaper than buying the snes version off ebay.

Any real reason to pick this one up? Believe it or not I just started playing this on my PSP for the very first time not too long ago. I think Im around the point where he stabs that dinobot thing (I got arrested for kidnapping in the game...).

Finish the game, and then you should be able to answer that question for yourself.

What I meant was is there ANYTHING added in the DS version (besides touch controls) which would make it worth purchasing.

Are they doing any graphical / sound updates on this?

Chronotrigger had exceptional graphics for the time so no updates really are necessary, especially for a little screen like the DS has.

Though the video was comical in its brevities and noises (particularly the run-in), this still doesn't give any insight into how control will work in the DS version.
For speedruns, may I suggest SpeedDemosArchive or... what was it... Twin Galaxies; really, a Google Search or Wikipedia article for "speed runs" oughta give you plenty o' places to check. Also, may I suggest taking that "related" bit offa the second YouTube link? Bit of a peeve...
Oh, and speaking of the game script, a more literal transaltion has been made by the folks at the Chrono Compendium (replete with out-of-place Japanese suffixes). Here's to hoping that SE takes a middle-ground approach in our (and/or Europe's) translation/localization!

I really want to play this game, but the art style is just too.......urgh. It's the same artist that did the art for DBZ, and it's just the ugliest designs I've ever seen. I'd only pick this up if the characters go the FFIV or FFIII treatment, and got some fresh makeovers.
