DS Daily: Checking in on your backlog
As gamers, we're often hit with periods of time where a flood of great games release and there just isn't enough time to play them all (it's called the holiday season). As DS gamers, this period of time is called every day of our lives. With that in mind, it's inevitable that some games will have to be put on the back burner. Do you have any games that you've got sitting on the shelf, in need of completion? Have you been waiting for a special rainy day or other event to finally sink your teeth into a new game? What game(s) are you waiting to finish?

I have more unfinished games than finished, in my collection. I have 30 games, since I picked up DQIV and Disgeae DS, last week, and we're already back into the holiday glut. So, my backlog will only get worse.

I bought FFTA2 and DQIV on the same day. I happened to pop in FFTA2 first and haven't put it down since! Seriously, even at work! OOPS!!
I will get to DQIV soon, but with so many other games coming out on the other consoles soon... I fear for the poor DQIV. :( Poor li'l guy!

Currently playing Final Fantasy 3 after it sitting unopened for more than 3 months...
Phoenix Wright AA: Trials & Tribulations. Haven't started that one cause I know the minute I start I won't play anything else.
And to top it all I just bought a 3 pack of DS games at Sam's. I couldn't resist the deal: 3 games for 15 bucks. My word coach, My French Coach and My English Coach.

Let's see:
Izuna
Castlevania: Portraits of Ruin
Geometry Wars
Dungeon Explorers
Izuna 2
Dementia: The Ward
Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2
Touch Detective 2.5
The last 4 are still in the shrink wrap. I have an Amazon list with about 8 games I want. I could play more of these if things like work and the family didn't demand as much of my time.
This doesn't even list the Wii games that I'm stuck on.

Of the dozen or so games I own, the only one I did finish was Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Right now I'm working through Advance Wars (I went back and bought the two GBA titles since I liked Dual Strike so much; Days of Ruin is waiting in the wings).
Meanwhile, I've put Age of Empires, Civ Rev, and six or eight other games on the back burner.
One I'll probably never get back to is Steel Horizon. May just toss that one in the trash.

I want to finish Izuna 2 so I can go play all the new and axciting games out there, but that final dungeon is too darn hard. Stupid confuse-ing monsters :(
Currently I have Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Crystal Chronicles: Ring Of Fates, and Lunar Knights waiting for me. I haven't even bought all the new RPGs..
*goes back to level grinding*

Oh man, that's a nice collection. I'm going to have to send a pic of mine (108 and counting).
My DS gaming A.D.D. has left me with a crap load of games (on the DS alone) that I have yet to play, let alone beat.
Trying to get through Layton and Mystery Case Files right now, then it's on to Izuna 2 and FF IV.

Whatever games I own but haven't completed are probably going to stay that way. I had plenty of time over the summer to pick one up and finish it, but didn't feel motivation to complete any of the things that I initially put away out of dissatisfaction. My actual backlog consists of games I don't even own yet but still want to play--Layton, Ninja Gaiden, Space Invaders Extreme, Bangai-O, Rhapsody. I just don't have that kind of money to spend all at once and am going to have to use these to fill in whatever drought-ridden patches may arise next year.

Sadly, most of my games have been left unfinished or not even started. Currently, I'm playing through Mega Man ZX again and then will play Advent again as the characters I haven't played yet. Then it's back to finish Final Fantasy III and start FFIV (which I haven't even touched yet).
Other games I have started and not finished are:
Front Mission
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Rondo of Swords (not even started)
Children of Mana
Kirby Squeak Squad
Metroid Prime Hunters
Lost Magic
Drawn 2 Life
MechAssault: Phantom War
And this just covers the DS games I own. I'm not even going to bother with those that I want to play yet nor any of my other consoles. >_

Of all the games I HAVE, I've only finished 6. That's all the EBA / Ouendan games, trace memory, professor layton, and picross.
I have every single one of the FF games, DQIV, TWEWY, all the phoenix wrights, both the Kirbys, every single point and click adventure I can find, locke's quest ... too many to count.
Right now I'm trying desperately to find time to play TWEWY - I'm in week 2 and uh, playing practically in real time. :)

I just started Okami on the Wii so I haven't played my DS in a week now.
But on the backburner I have: Viva Pinata, Nanostray 2, Bangai, Stafi 4, Civ Revolution, Nintendogs. Sonic Chronicles (GOTY) will probably join that list.
I also got Tales of Phantasia for the GBA, but I don't see myself playing that game ever again. It was rather disappointing.
