One of the best things about the DS is that it's just so darn easy to transport. That means you can get your game on wherever and whenever. Stuck on the train? Time to game! Visiting the relatives during the holidays? Find a lonely corner and boot that sucker up (or even get your elders in on the action!). Our question is: where do you find is the best place for you to game? Where do you find is the best place for you to spend some quality time with your favorite handheld?

In the cinema when they're playing all those awful trailers, or when I'm on the phone to someone I needn't give my full attention to (that friend of a friend of a friend, who's really a stranger, but has a nice rack).

For me it's easiest to pull it out and start playing when I'm waiting in a theater or in a vehicle (and not driving). I also bring it to social gatherings and LANs just in case I get tired of people.
Extended visits to the toilet are made easier with a handheld... but I don't do that because it's slightly disgusting.

My Favorite place to bust out the DS is while my Girlfriend is Trying clothes at the many shops she like to shop at, because it is normally a 4 hour process with numerous full outfit changes. Plus i know alot of retail clerks hate it, seeing me there playing Phantom Hour Glass or Contra 4, while they are stuck working like chumps! HAHA!

in between classes and in the comfort of my own room. Sometimes I'll take it to a relative's house if I know I'll get bored.

I mainly pop out the sutff at university, while i'm waiting for my thesis guide teacher cause he doesn't get in time to our meeting or while i'm in a long line waiting for doing some sheet application at uni office wich is the most annoying wait in history.

You probably assume that the girls are playing "Imagine: Babyz", too.

pink being a girly color is entirely cultural. That is, North American. It's also only rather contemporary. In the post great war era, the convention was actually to dress little boys in pink, and little girls in blue.
Give us another 50 years and pink will be boyish again...

Riding on the bus home or to school. Also, before class starts and in the movie theater waiting.

definitely the train. I often commute into NYC from long island - about a 50 minute train ride. The ds is perfect for those days! I also use it between classes @ college. Who needs to study anyway?

I actually don't usually play my DS outside of my house. When out and about, I usually have a book in my pocket, or a newspaper to read. I can't play games if I'm uncomfortable anywhere.

I was stuck on an Austin bus for about...a little over an hour or so, so I pulled out my DS and played it on the way to campus. Although, I'll play my DS just about anywhere.

I work at the library and at an info desk, we dont have much traffic at either so DS is a life saver.

@Michael: Seriously? I used to do the same thing and they'd never let us do anything like that.
I find the easily place for me to break out a DS is either at a bookstore or coffeeshop. Every now and then I'll find someone else on pictochat or something, and my friends are savvy enough to know that I'm not being anti-social, just a different kind of social than they're used to.
And yes, on the can works as well.
