I only watched a little of the beginning, I'll watch the rest later, but it makes me ask if there is a galactic struggle between men and women in this game. The art, at least, feels a lot like Vandread, which was also under Gonzo.

Gonzo did Welcome to NHK and Afro Samurai, both of which I loved, so I'll check this out.
This game has been confirmed for a Euro/American release, has it not? I would hate to get hyped up for this game only for Sega to leave it in Japan, with all their other RPGs.

sadly no official confirmation, but it has been feature in Nintendo Power so that's a good sign. I'm also crossing my fingers, it looks deliciously epic.
Sega is publishing some of their RPGs in NA, World Destruction is supposedly coming over, or so says this Siliconera article http://www.siliconera.com/2008/10/14/world-destruction-that-ds-rpg-from-the-xenogears-staff-shattering-north-america-in-the-future/
so not all is yet lost.

Not too bad. Gonzo didn't screw up the CG as is their usual wont, and IG managed to keep the character detail up throughout. Pity that it doesn't actually tell you much about the game or the universe it's set in though.
