Since the first footage of Ni no Kuni: The Another World appeared at the Tokyo Game Show last week, it has become the DS game I'm most looking forward to. A Level 5/Studio Ghibli collaboration is the stuff dreams are made of. The animation, predictably, looks wonderful. I already just want to hold the included spellbook. Maybe stroke it. Is that wrong?
Plenty of other titles were showcased last week in Tokyo, so now seems like an appropriate time to see which made the most impact on each of you. Are you crazy about Chrono Trigger? Giddy about Gyakuten Kenji? Cuckoo for Castlevania? If you could have one upcoming DS title in your hands right now, what would it be?

Tecmo Bowl, hands down. It won't leave my DS until spring training once it lands.

Infinte Space. But it seems that not many people seem overly bothered about that title. Internet coverage of that game has been rather weak.

Don't you mean "Infinite Line"? It's on my radar as well.

The title was changed to Infinite Space. After seeing the TGS trailer, it instantly became one of my most anticipated games. Not-Japan is almost certainly never getting it because it's published by Sega (although they did just announce that World Destruction is getting localized), but I can't help but be really, really excited.

EPIC. Best trailer for a DS game ever, and I didn't even understand a word of it.

I swear it was featured in a preview in Nintendo Power, and the preview stated that it's coming to NA sometime in 2009. Of course, this can still be canceled, but I think that the preview is a good sign.

Gotcha; that's definitely good news. I guess subscribing to Nintendo Power has its benefits after all.

Mine would be Galactrix. Puzzle Quest almost took root in my DS Lite, I had to remove tendrils with a tweezer.

1. Dragon Quest IX
2. Inazuma Eleven
3. Harvest Moon: Shining Sun & Friends
Sadly, none of these have been confirmed for a North American release, but I'm crossing my fingers.

If I could have a title in my hands right now? Dragon Ball Origins.
Followed closely by Retro Game Challenge, Chrono Trigger, and The Another World... mmmmm and Rune Factory 2.

Argh, what a tough question. I'm really looking forward to Fire Emblem DS (...SD?), although I'm not really looking forward to the $60 import cost. As a FE fanboy it can't help but to supersede everything else on my future want list. Followed closely behind, and without regard for chance of localization, are Infinite Space, Riz-Zoawd, Gyakuten Kenji, and Black Sigil.
Also, Atlus, hurry up and bring SRW Infinite Frontier over here. It's been far too long.

Black Sigil is being made in Montreal, in English.
But it will still probably never come out. Who wants to road trip to Montreal and make off with some beta copies of the game?

I realized after I posted that by lumping it in the "regardless of localization" category I'd make it sound like I thought it was Japanese. D'oh.
Mazes of Fate, another indie RPG that had the misfortune of being published by Graffiti Entertainment, actually made it to shelves in August, and the developers of Black Sigil said that the game, despite the numerous delays this year, should be out by Christmas. An updated trailer was actually posted to Youtube a couple of weeks ago. All of this is pointing to it actually coming out, so it would have been sweet to have been able to beta test the game.

Suikoden, absolutely.
Though Castlevania is a near second and the Edgeworth game a not far off third.
