For those tiring of their traditional silver DS, there's a work around; a custom DS paint job. DS Fanboy reader sent in some useful links and resources for DS owners wanting to take the plunge. He writes: "I don't think it would be wise taking apart the DS just to spray paint buttons, especially with the LCDs and speakers being such an issue. What I planned was to spray the bottom in the same silver, then leave the black accents from the screen rim and buttons, then get some crazy ass black stencils going all over it."

- Quick and dirty way decals

Note: Unless you have a warranty from a gamestop or eb that allows you to do whatever you want to your system and still returned it if it gets junked.
Not that I like these stores but being able to do whatever I want without voiding warranties is always good.

Decals are the way to go. I like the camo decal but havet decided on buying it. A friend just gave me the Mario Kart DS decals, so im fine with that.

that looks so nice. if you know how to do it, then you should. it looks waay better than decals. i told my little cousin that it's best to keep your DS as it is, but after seeing that, i might try to paint mine.......nah, i don't know how. if i did, i would though. it looks so well painted
