A new DS desktop OS is in the works using the current DSLinux project as a basis. The system will include some of the following features:
- A touchable on-screen keyboard.
- A standard 80x25 console on the top screen that communicates with on-screen keyboard
- Will use Busybox for standard commands to keep use of CPU low.
- An upside-down web-browser with controls that dock on the top of the bottom screen, while the content of the browser is displayed at the top. (Dillo port)
Be sure to contact deantheappleguy[AT]gmail.com to help make the desktop a reality.

If they can pull that off, and make a fairly functional OS on the DS, that would rock! :D
I would even consider buying a cart with it preloaded. Of course, I'm kind of poor, so it'd have to be pretty cheap. :P

Somehow I doubt it can be done, at least by this guy. Nor would I trust it if he did. Did you check out the rest of his website? http://www.myfootinyourass.com/ The domain alone raises questions...

As a DSlinux user, I can only hope this actually lifts off. DSLinux is made BY and FOR linux freaks*.
Black screen with text, thats all you see in DSLinux.
If this guy actually builds KDE, Gnome, or his own GUI, then more power to him!
Ironically, even in the NDS, i preffer WINDS instead of DSLinux...
*I'm sorry If i offended anyone with my comments, thats just the way I feel...

DSLinux already uses BusyBox, don't you mean BlackBox? This is bull crap. Porting dillo requires X and unless he gets microwindows or nano-x compiling....
I suggest he ports links2 or elinks to the framebuffer console... they use NCURSES (which I already ported to dslinux) and he would just have to port svgalib....and perhaps GPM for mouse control.
(assuming we have a mousedriver some day)
This would be more possible and use less memory than the posts bullcrap idea. Plus it supports javascript, though dillo may as well.
Take a look...

If i get free time over spring break, I can do this.

I hope he sold one of the 360s to an ex-mobster or a serial homosexual rapist.
And I hope THEY videotape the entire affair.

Why not help the real DSLinux project?
That way, this will more likely become avaiable in some way or another and be supported by a lot more developers.
