A new scan from Japanese magazine V-Jump reveals news that is sure to send some anime and manga fans into joyous poses amidst rapidly scrolling backgrounds. Yu Yu Hakasho is destined for our favorite dual-screen device, though our inability to decode the Japanese language prevents us from sharing anything further. Since Funimation's picked the show up for American distribution, there's a glimmer of a chance that this one might make it across the ocean, but don't hold your breath. You'll need the air to scream about that Bleach game which has yet to be localized.

(Page 1)2. Dangit, and here I was hoping to see a north american release of the old YYH Mega Drive game, with multiple layered fighting, and four combatants active at a time via wifi and local wireless.

3. Wow, another game for that 15 year old anime. Let's hope it's not a card game.

4. Nmaster, from what I hear, Jump Superstars was a licensing hell. And I've heard that Viz Media has been trying to obtain all of the manga licenses for English releases so that they could work with Nintendo to bring it here (Nintendo was the Japanese publisher for Jump Superstars, only makes sense that they'd be the English publisher as well).
As for the GCN Narutard games... Well, the first one of the series (renamed Clash of Ninja) was already released in America by D3, and the second is set for September.
Assuming they sell well, the third and fourth entries can't be far off, huh?

5. Well they have gotten decent reviews for the most part. Better then other anime fighters brought over.
The DS naruto games have received favorable reviews as well.
Why would viz media try to optain the manga licenses when the mangas are handled by the Shonen Jump? The issue is the actual anime series which are handled by a bunch of different companies such as Viz, Tokyopop, Funimation.

6. You mean to tell me there aren't already half a dozen of this franchise on DS already? It seems like they've made a new YYH game every 3 months months since the SNES era. Although that pales before the ongoing avalanche of Dragonball games.

1. It's a shame we don't see more anime games here, considering a few of them are so amazingly good (ex. Jump SuperStars & Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4). While I wouldn't expect a lot from a Yu Yu Hakusho game, the DS has proven to be a great place for the anime fighters. Too bad it looks like from the scan Yusuke decided to take a more RPG or adventure-like route on the DS, as a Hakusho fighting game up the alley of the Bleach DS game (which features great multiplayer and online) would be awesome to see stateside. Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait for the Famitsu review to see if it's worth an import.
