It kind of reminds me of Mario Pinball in a way. I might pick it up if it doesn't end up being nearly as bad.

I don't understand... what's awkward about the playstyle in this pinball game? I didn't see any visible mechanics to hint at touch screen use.

It's worth noting that this is yet another game with 3D on both screens. 256 x 384 instead of 256 x 192 looks to be interesting. The whole wider-than-tall screen thing utterly failed for the N-Gage, though.
