i have to admit, i felt like real geek going at midnight to the store to get it. they didn't even have any out, and the person stocking stuff had no idea what i was talking about. so me and THE ONLY OTHER GUY wanting to buy a lite decided to go find the store manager...his idea, not mine, as i remember his exact words "Should we play the part of the uber-geek, and demand the lite from the manager?" funny, though, after finding him, the guy was cool and said "oh, i have them in the back, i just didn't put them out there because i didn't think anyone would come in." and then the guy talked to us for some time regarding which DS games were his favorites. all in all, not that bad a night, i suppose.

My wife bought me one for my b-day. My b-day's in August. :)

Anyway, I had to go to 3 places before I found one that wasn't already sold to a pre-order. It's taking me a little bit to get used to the small screen (i'm mainly a PC gamer) and I don't have a thumb-strap yet to play Metroid with, but so far I love it. NSMB is great!!

Yep, picked mine up at Walmart on Sunday at 12:30am. There was only one guy there that had walked in maybe a min or two before me. He had the lady go to the back and get them, they only had two cases. But I got mine! and the New Mario Brothers game. Such greatness.

Got one for my brother yesterday (very-early birthday present, since his Phat has been out of commission for a while).
I didn't plan on replacing my Phat, but as soon as I got my hands on his, I knew I had to get one myself.
So hopefully he keeps his end of the deal and gets me an import Navy for MY birthday in August :P

Honest...I'd rather blue or black myself. I have some Best Buy certificates after buying my laptop that expire mid July, but I'm hoping on navy blue or even black before then, ideally.

Yes, went back today because I didn't see the Coupon for free Brain Age til after I bought it. Thankfully, the woman at BestBuy gave me the game after doing some button pushing beauracracy to get it for me.

I'm waiting for the Platinum version. You know, the DS Lite that will be platinum colored and have a casing with plastic similar to that of the original DS and GameBoy which are less shiny and therefore produce many less smudges so my handheld can always look pristine and I can have all my recent Nintendo products from GBA to Gamecube to DS to DS Lite in exactly the same color?

Okay, maybe I'm the only one who thought of it, and maybe it's wishful thinking, but I'm waiting for it.
That, and I have no money and no job. That puts a damper on things, too.

Here's a question: Why did they decide to release on a Sunday? I didn't mind, I had it reserved, but it felt weird going to the game store on Sunday (usually I just play the games on Sunday,as my purchases are usually made Friday.)
