The master behind Doom and Quake, John Carmack, gave a speech at Quakecon and guess what came up? The Nintendo DS.
Yes boys and girls, you may be able to have these gory treasures, along with a few others, on your DS.
The thought of gruesomeness all over the DS thats better than Resident Evil makes us smile.
No doubt the DS is built for this kind of game but it makes us wonder how controls will work. Will you have the option to use D-Pad instead of the stylus like Metroid Prime Hunters? Also, could there possibly be WiFi play available? Oh the questions...

Nikki, Carmack was talking about Doom RPG, not the original Doom. It's still awesome news, as Doom RPG was an excellent game.

It won't have stylus control, but you can get Doom, Doom 2 and Wolfenstein (as well as Duke Nukem 3D) for the GBA. In fact, while I was working at some game store, I picked up copies of Doom and Doom 2 for a friend. Of course I tried them first, and I can confirm that they are good ports of great games.

Considering I only paid $10 on my phone for Doom RPG, I would only but this if it included other things as well.
