WRUP: revisit your GBA collection edition

For us, a lot of our time with the DS lately has been filled with platforming and tag-team undead killing action (see: Portrait of Ruin), but we have different plans this weekend. We plan on going through the old GBA collection here at the DSF dungeon. Maybe we'll go through Sword of Mana again, or perhaps have ourselves another go in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

So, it inspired us to ask you what GBA games you wouldn't mind dusting off and playing again. Sure, we want to know what you plan on playing, as usual, but if that game (or games) had to be for the GBA, what would it be?

Past posts: What were you playing?

2. still playing Super Mario Bros. 3.......great stuff

3. Dusting off? Feh! I use my DS to play GBA games at least as much as I use it for DS games. I just wrapped up Final Fantasy 2 before getting Portrait. I've played the previous GBA Castlevanias on it recently, Been working on Mega Man Battle Network 4. Heck I've probably double my GBA collection since I got my DS.

4. Final Fantasy V Advance. No dusting off needed, bought it new last month and haven't put it down since.

5. Harvest Moon: MFOMT Haven't stopped playing it since I got it in June. I love that game.

6. Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy

7. Just finished Metroid Fusion and yesterday I picked up a used Summon Night: Swordcraft Story so that's where I'll be. I'm also clearing my calendar for when FF VI comes out next year.

8. Just got myself Mario Kart Ds... prob work on that for the weekend along with the regular animal crossing for the fishing tournament and hopefully finish off sweating difficulty in EBA. Enjoy your weekends everyone!
oh ya i have finals to study for too...

9. Fire Emblem Sacred Stones, Golden Sun, and Metroid Fusion.

10. Well I'm still enjoying FFIII, but I would throw Warioware: Twisted in no problem.

11. This is a good idea; might bring Fire Emblem out and play it for the sixth time. I love that game to pieces.

With all due respect,

12. I'm actually alternating between revisiting Golden Sun, and playing the very awesome Yggdra Union at the moment.

Posted at 1:17PM on Dec 15th 2006 by CJC

13. I will play some FFIV advance, but the cartridge won't need any dusting. As someone said before, I too play as much GBA games as DS games. I will surely alternate between FFIV and NSMB this weekend. Is Superstar Saga a good buy? I might get that since it's player's choice now.

14. Never played, but want to (someday):

FF2, FF4, FF5, Fire Emblem, Sword of Mana, the 2 2nd newest GBA castlevania games (Circle of Moon and Harmony of Dissonance?), Lego Star Wars 2 Advance, Yoshi's Island

Played and might play again:

Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion and Zero mission, a couple others I can't quite remember now.

Just Finished or nearly finished (again): FF Tactics Advance

Posted at 1:27PM on Dec 15th 2006 by JM

15. FF Tactics Advance. I've sunk about 40 hours into it and I'm sure I'm not even halfway through the story. The random battles can take me 20min to complete sometimes!

16. Advance Wars DS. Still haven't beat it. It's very hard

Trying to finish EBA with the Divas

17. Finally beat Portrait of Ruin. Might co-op some more or farm for items and then go back to Elite Beat Agents or Aria of Sorrow.

18. What a concidence: I just picked up a copy of WarioWare: Twisted from a little shop here in town.

It's hooking. Much more so than Touched or Feel the Magic.
If I clear everything (and I mean EVERYTHING, souvenirs et. al) by Jan 1, I'll take it back (they're good like that), and buy FF1+2, play those, III-DS (from (big) Festive Tree Day, forgot to mention restarting ACWW), IV, V, and VI advance. Are any of those not on the GBA (or will be by the time I get there)?

19. While I'm hip-deep in Portrait of Ruin action, if I had to get my GBA on (and I do loves me some GBA) - I think I'd have to go with FF IV. I'm still trying to beat it.

20. Actually, I started playing Fire Emblem again recently. Oh, and even though the original Tetris Attack is so much better, I play some Puzzle League in that Dr. Mario & Puzzle League game. One game I will surely get later: FFVI Advance.
