Hudson has fired off some new screens for the upcoming
Bomberman Land Touch! 2 and we're chompin' at the bit to get our horribly misshapen mitts on it. We've gone ahead and done the responsible thing, plucking the screens from the press release and situating them neatly into the gallery you see below.
And, for those who haven't kept up with bombing technology (they've made particularly impressive advancements in the realm of fuses), the game is going to have some sweet Wi-Fi Connect compatibility, all but cementing its place as a future theme game for
Game Night.

First. Do the single player screens remind anyone else of Phantom Hourglass?

I haven't played a Bomberman game since the great and underappreciated Bomberman 64. This I will definitely go out and get. I imagine the multiplayer is as good, if not better, than it was many moons ago. x_0

I have the original Bomberman DS, and it rocked, only thing missing was online play.
I got the first Bomberman Touch DS and hated it. The Bombermen characters are taller and look odd to me. The adventure mode makes no sense. Online play is available but I only found a player available online once. I resold this game without regret.
What I would like is a Bomberman DS like the first one, no touch, only with online play, and with the smaller more cute Bombermen. I also think the UI experience is much better in the first Bomberman DS than the Bomberman Touch

Bomberman Land Touch was a step down from the first DS Bomberman. It replaced a traditional level-based single player mode with some crap minigame adventure. The multiplayer, though it featured online, was not as good as the multiplayer in the first DS Bomberman, as the online was pretty much useless (nobody was ever on any time I checked) and they REMOVED a few of the better items and stages.
This game could conceivably be worth the money if they bring back the missing items, and also add in some of the cool items found in the later Super Bomberman games (Super Bomberman 3, 4, and 5 were Japan-only, but had some really awesome items).
